Rachel Bannon-Godfrey (Board of Directors) and her family moved to Colorado a few years ago from San Francisco. She is a mother to two girls and a Director of Sustainability at an architecture firm. Originally from Ireland, raised in Asia, she has lived in many countries and seen a spectrum of childhood experiences. Rachel and her husband hope to teach their daughters to look outside of their own world, become aware of the greater community, and feel there is no better group than Raising Little Heroes for doing just that while having fun and making new friends too.
Katherine Blecha (Board of Directors) Katherine lives in Erie with her husband, Joe and their kids, Jack and Nora. They moved to the area from Chicago in 2014 by way of Louisville, KY. With a background in the nonprofit sector specializing in volunteer management and program development, she is excited about the opportunity to help this group grow!
Hetal Mehta (Board of Directors) lives in Boulder with her husband Niraj and 2 children, Kavi and Keya. Hetal works as a physical therapist and both Hetal and her husband are former AmeriCorps volunteers. Raising Little Heroes seems to be the perfect answer!
Brooke Rakow (Board of Directors) is a native Coloradan who returned to Boulder with her family in 2013. She loves being back in Colorado with her husband, 10 year old daughter, and 7 year old son. Brooke taught primary grades for 12 years in California and continues to volunteer at her kids’ schools. She feels passionate about acts of service, learning empathy, and working together as a community. Seeing the Raising Little Heroes community work together to organize and carry out meaningful projects has been a joy. She can see the impact that these projects have on her and her own children and how important it is to continue this work.
Sharon Procopio (Board of Directors) grew up in Florida and moved out west in 2003 by way of Arizona, New Mexico, and settling in Boulder in 2010.
